3M 365

3M™ Glass Cloth Electrical Tape 365

3M™ Glass Cloth Tape 365 is a thermosetting rubber-resin adhesive tape coated with a strong, conformable glass backing for many applications requiring high adhesion to a variety of surfaces. The adhesive provides good initial adhesion and tack. When subjected to a thermosetting cycle (achieved by ironing or heating the backing after application), it crosslinks to provide greater adhesion and bonding, higher solvent resistance, and higher heat resistance. High adhesion is obtained by optimizing the time, temperature, and pressure of the applied heat. The glass cloth backing delivers high tensile strength, resists shrinking and rotting, and remains firm at high temperatures.

Applications include: Splicing or insulation applications requiring high tensile strength at elevated temperatures; corrosion-resistant wrap for stainless-steel hot-air ducts; splicing materials with rough surfaces or low internal strength, such as roofing felt, fiberglass, or textiles
