3M™ Impact Stripping Tape 528
3M™ Impact Stripping Tape 528 is the thickest rubber tape available in the 3M portfolio, designed to provide excellent surface protection against blasting media during paint stripping operations. Its durable, tan rubber backing is specially formulated to withstand impacts from common blasting media, including aluminum oxide, steel shot, glass bead, and plastic media. The tape features an acrylic adhesive for strong adhesion to various surfaces, along with an easy-release, die-cuttable paper liner. The application surface should be warm, clean, and dry (at least 40°F/4 °C) and firmly rubbed down to achieve maximum adhesion.
Applications include: Overspray masking during blasting applications and plastic media blast (PMB) paint-stripping operations
