3M™ PTFE Extruded Film Tapes 5491 delivers outstanding low coefficient of friction properties and its silicone PSA allows for exceptional heat resistance up to 500°F. With low friction and a smooth PTFE surface, this tape excels in heat-sealing applications and surfaces needing reliable release, including industrial and food processing equipment. It has an enhanced adhesive with thicker backing for challenging surfaces compared to 5490, making these tapes adaptable for diverse and rigorous environments.
Applications include: Heat sealing, non-stick covering for hot presses, chute lining, and surface protection.
