3M™ VHB™ Tape Max-160GF
3M™ VHB™ Tape Max-160GF is 1.6 mm (62 mil) thick and features a firm acrylic foam core, acrylic adhesive on both sides, and a PE film liner. Its added material depth makes it suitable for rigid substrates with normal flatness.. Paired with 3M™ VHB™ Tape Max Promoter, it adheres on contact to metals, glass, and many paints and plastics, providing immediate handling strength while allowing narrower bond lines and less bond area than common VHB tapes.
Applications include: Panel-to-frame bonding, stiffener and bracket attachments, rub rails and trim, dissimilar-material bonding, and general static-load applications, used in OEM equipment, box trucks and dry vans, appliances, building components, buses, specialty vehicles, HVAC equipment, general industrial equipment, and auto displays.
