3M™ VHB™ Tape Max-230GF
3M™ VHB™ Tape Max-230GF is the thickest tape in the Max Series, measuring 2.3 mm (90 mil) thick. It is designed for rigid substrates with normal flatness, where the extra material depth helps achieve good surface contact. Its firm acrylic foam core, double-sided acrylic adhesive, and PE film liner, combined with 3M™ VHB™ Tape Max Promoter, form a bond on contact with metals, glass, and many paints and plastics, delivering immediate handling strength while still allowing narrower bond lines than those of common VHB tapes.
Applications include: Panel-to-frame bonding, stiffener and bracket attachments, rub rails and trim, dissimilar-material bonding, and general static-load applications, used in OEM equipment, box trucks and dry vans, appliances, building components, buses, specialty vehicles, HVAC equipment, general industrial equipment, and auto displays.
