3M™ UHMW Polyethylene Tape 5423

3M™ UHMW Polyethylene Tape 5423 pairs a thick UHMW polyethylene backing with a rubber adhesive for quick initial tack and immediate bonding. Its low coefficient of friction, exceeded only by PTFE, creates a slip-plane effect that helps reduce squeaks, rattles, and other movement-related noise. It showed no evidence of wear-through after 1000 cycles of Taber Abrasion testing, allowing it to outwear PTFE and other materials in sliding applications, making it an effective option when lubrication isn't possible due to contamination.

Applications include: Conveyor guide rail linings, tank and bin liners, discharge chutes, drawer and cabinet glide surfaces, noise reduction between dissimilar parts, protection for aluminum sheets on stretch-forming presses, spray booth liners
